Screen Recorder Customer Insights

1. Not as good as a PC version but I am often on the go with only phone access and many tutorials need to be recorded live and for events etc... Worth a try for school, work etc for quick easy recording with decent options and mostly intuitive controls.Really good! I had trouble keeping it running while my game loaded and I got to where I wanted to record; the orange bubble would disappear before I got there.

2. I have tried a few.I was editing a video of mine, over halfway done and a lot of effort put into it, suddenly when I saved my draft, when I went back to edit, the draft was gone and there was a "More" section, I clicked on it, and it lead me to nowhere but a screen endlessly loading, so I restarted the app, and my draft is lost, I even updated it to the latest version, but it's gone for good, I lost so much progress, meaning I got to edit the video all over again, please if you can, fix thisOnce you install this, you'll never think about switching to another.

3. However, I just found that XRecorder is selectable from the swipe-down screen at the top (above my notifications)! 😃 Now I can just get to where I want to go in the game before worrying about opening XRecorder! The editing features are very handy, too! 😄❤I got this app as recommended by my son.

4. I believe this is the closest thing you can get to video editing applications on a computer, while using your typical smart phone instead.Don't feel like leaving full review.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Screen Recorder Issues

1. Fix Screen Recorder Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

  1. Restart Screen Recorder: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Screen Recorder App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Screen Recorder" » Open Screen Recorder - XRecorder » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Screen Recorder » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Screen Recorder - XRecorder app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Screen Recorder servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Screen Recorder - XRecorder" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Screen Recorder app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Screen Recorder might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Screen Recorder. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Screen Recorder then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Screen Recorder not working

2. Fix Screen Recorder Server issues & Internet Connection

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Screen Recorder be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Screen Recorder not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Screen Recorder may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • I am using the free version for a while and I would like to know what that little round thing showing on the left of my cellphone screen. It says 107.59 Gb used 69, is that mean my limit to record for free? If I delete the videos I recorded will it come to zero gb or not?

  • Why my screen recorded video doesn't appear full size(16:9) on YouTube's aspect ratio. There's always a black screen above and below of my video like it was a movie. I want to make my screen recorded video full size on YouTube. Video editing apps can zoom and fit the video but it lose video quality.

  • Its not a complaint. I am wanting to get the pro version. There are 3 prices to choose from 1 month - $3.99. 1 year - $16.99. Lifetime purchase - $9.99. I read the fine print at the bottom of the page the subscription will renew at $16.99 after the promotional the option you buy runs out. So I get the 1 month option at $3.99 that it will be a 1 month subscription to the service and then you would no longer be able to use the Pro member functions within the app. If you let it renew, it will be at $16.99 monthly. I go with the 1 year option for $16.99 and then after a year of use as a Pro member you will be charged $16.99 a month if you choose to renew your subscription. Or is that $16.99 price option for $16.99 a month for the first year? Or I choose the Lifetime Purchase offer for $9.99. Does that mean I will be a Pro member for the rest of my life? Or does it mean my subscription rate would be $9.99 a month moving forward? If that's the case, what is the period of time that the $9.99 subscription offers for the first initial package. Or does it mean I will be charged $9.99 a month for life? With my rate never bumping up to the $16.99 even after the amount of time I am granted for the first initial purchase of $9.99. Does the Lifetime Purchase offer ever revert to $16.99 after the promotional period ends? Please get back to me ASAP regarding my question. I would like to start my Pro Membership. Lifetime Purchase here we come!

  • I am trying to record a zoom session and keep getting an error that does not allow me to record audio because my microphone is occupied. I put my audio on mute so I am wondering how do I record audio. Thank you.

  • Used it to record WhatsApp video call but no sound. Settings sound not muted and set to microphone.
    Your FAQ suggested other apps like whatsapp might be using microphone which of course they are. Is this app not a solution then for recording whatsapp?
