Medscape Customer Insights

1. Is it possible to add an option to highlight (mark) text in "Drug and diseases" section; would be very helpfulContents loads fine now! One more suggestion: images should be included in the offline content! Download of images could be optional; Thanks for the prompt update though 🙏🙏🙏Make UI full white and give search bar navy blue background to look more beautiful and modern.

2. There is one fix that is needed ASAP for the continuing education section: when a course is completed and evaluation done there is only a link to the activity tracker, but no way to get back to either the main home page or to education section.

3. The times I have used this app it has been great! It does give you such a wealth of information with offline access! I have started to use the CME education a little.

4. Update - They finally fixed the problem but still no thank you or acknowledgement.To be honest, I don't use this app that much, because I just don't tend to use many apps in general.

5. To know about diseases it's medicines and side effectsI took training from the app whereas I can't download my certificate on my mobile device.

7. Thanks! đź‘ŤThe ads in this app make it completely useless! They take up the complete screen and I can't view the information.

8. Some bit of feedback would be to have different sections so that completed activities can be in a separate section.

9. It was about at the bottom of the screen I get a network error has occurred message where I assume the ad should be.

10. Also, add an option to change text size within the app for the visually impaired.

11. I have used this app for years and now they decided there's a pop up ad when you search a drug, then when you click any tab inside that drug, and again when you hit back.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Medscape Issues

1. Fix Medscape Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Medscape: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Medscape App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Medscape" » Open Medscape » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Medscape » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Medscape app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Medscape servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Medscape" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Medscape app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Medscape might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Medscape. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Medscape then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Medscape not working


2. Fix Medscape Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Medscape be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Medscape not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Medscape may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
