1. The Mazoola mission is simple: give kids the power of a mobile wallet, teach them about money management but power the solution with privacy to ensure they always remain safe.
2. Founded in 2008, Mazoola was built from the ground up – built by parents concerned about exposure of unregulated marketing, concerned that their child’s personal information would fall into the wrong hands.
3. Mazoola is an app that gives parents digital superpowers to help navigate their child’s path to earning, learning, and developing essential money management skills.
4. Mazoola anonymizes a child’s identity to ensure privacy while shopping with their favorite retailers online or in-store from their mobile device.
5. Because a child’s privacy matters. U. S. federal law designed to prohibit the collection and use of personal information about children by the operators of Internet services and Web sites. Passed by the U. S.
6. As the only COPPA* certified mobile family wallet, Mazoola’s walled garden offers parent’s much needed reassurance that their children can build life-lasting skills in a safe and secure environment.
7. Cookie placement, location-based advertising, behavioral targeting, and other clever marketing tactics regularly put children’s privacy at risk and violate the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
8. New banking solutions aimed at children and families have appeared – none have adequately addressed COPPA or privacy concerns.
9. Going digital is the new norm and so is digital marketing.
10. Congress in 1998, the law took effect in April 2000.
11. It is administered and enforced by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
1. Namely one which prevents new accounts from registering.i recommended the app to a friend and he tried to sign up, but the app won't load past the final identity verification screen where you enter your date of birth and last 4 of your SSN (the loading circle graphic just spins endlessly).
2. Kids love ability to shop online on their own when it's convenient for them and not me.What a great application to help my kids to learn how to manage their money.
3. Quits every time you click on the settings cog, and half the time you click on anything else.Terrible My daughter was so excited about this app but it won't let me add a child or another adult! Accepting an invitation doest work.
4. Well done.I wish they would issue physical cards and I also wish they would use plaid over mastercard for linking bank accounts.Good idea in theory.
5. What i love most is selecting which stores our kids can shop in and how much they can spend on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
6. Lastly it would be nice to incorporate NFC payments so my kids can use their device to pay at stores.
7. I feel my kids are also safe using this app as this was the only app I found that ensures my childs privacy.
8. So his wife tried signing up with her own info on her own device but had the same exact outcome. This app is awesome and it is free.
9. We kept waiting for updates and even with the most recent update we still are having major issues.
10. Can't wait any longer, time to move forward.I like the concept and execution, but recently the app appears to have a few bugs.
11. Was excited about this but parent and child do not recommend this app.App is garbage.
