1. Control mode provides the familiar Filmic Pro interface for complete remote camera control over hard to reach camera placements such as sliders, jib arms, car mounts, microphone stand or other compelling live event camera placements. - Dual arc slider manual controls for focus and exposure. - Create and load Filmic Pro presets from Filmic Remote. - Video preview: Reference video for use with analytics screens. - Waveform monitor: Visually identifies signal brightness segmented from left to right across a video feed.
2. Remote can also be set up in ‘preview-only’ mode allowing a camera operator to perform all controls from the device running Filmic Pro and allowing the Remote to be used solely for monitoring.
3. Filmic Remote puts your spare Android devices into the production process.
4. Remote Legacy is designed for use with Filmic Pro v7. 4. 5 and earlier (including Filmic Legacy).
5. Filmic Remote v3 is now called Remote Legacy.
6. Filmic Remote v4 is now integrated directly into Filmic Pro v7. 5.
7. Remote v3 offers three modes of capability: Control, Monitor and Director.
8. Used in conjunction with the video preview it can provide a quick snapshot of brightness in your video. - Vectorscope: Displays color saturation, by channel, across the entire image. - Histograms: RGB composite, Luminance, Zone and RGB channel.
9. It offers wireless control and monitoring of your Filmic Pro experience.
10. Director mode provides a clean video preview.
11. This is perfect for providing a director, producer or crew with a device to monitor the production remotely.
1. But I can't even watch a playback of the video I just filmed in the Remote app! What?? So I can control the entire filming process, but can't watch what I filmed unless I disconnect and go to the camera?? What is the point of that? The most important function, completely missing!I downloaded the app because according to certain videos on Youtube from producers affiliated with Filmic, they say it works between Android (S9+) and iPhone (12 Max Pro).
2. I intend to place my main phone on/in my car for recording while driving, and this app will allow me to see camera placement and start/stop recording easily, without having to touch the main phone.Previous problem with mode switching seems fixed 😊 If it would be possible to use FiLMiC Remote in Director mode whilst still controlling the App on the phone it would be perfect.
3. Also, no idea if it's possible but being able to also control a gimbal from FiLMiC Remote would be great.Doesn't work well with Version 7.
4. 1.5.3 still crashes, this time with a NPE, "Attempting to invoke virtual method 'int java.lang.Number.intValue()' on a null object reference at com.filmic.remote.MainActivity.onCreate:135" Tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling.
5. If I'm missing something, I don't mind trying again, because I like the idea, but as it is now it doesn't work for me.I use the Filmic Pro App on Samsung Galaxy S9+ and the Filmic Remote on a Tecno Pouvoir 3+...they work very well.
6. I also noticed that, the settings tab and the tab to reach the "White Balance/Cinematography" sections refuse to load after each first recording per launch of the Remote App.Perfect app especially via wifi direct, all works fine.
7. It would be perfect if we can see what we filmed directly via Filmic remote without switching back to the original phone.
8. I followed the instructions, both phones connected to same wifi, remote control turned on on the iphone, I swiped to refresh many times, and I just couldn't get the phones to connect.
9. The only missing things is that we can not view our videos via filmic remote app.
10. Well, it does exactly what it is meant to do but seems to lag sometimes especially with lots of fast movements on/from the Filmic Pro, I guess that could be low RAM on the Tecno Phone's part.
11. Anyway thanks for turning my phone into professional camera!!! 😂😂😂There is missing the option to actually enter the ip address manually.
