Filmic Pro Customer Insights

1. There is no visible "download legacy Filmic" option in settings > info as you mentioned, so please refund the $30 I wasted.First off: subscription service to access your own videos? $3 per /week/? No shot.

2. For every useful niche feature, a basic standard feature which you really, really need will be borderline unusable.Hate subscription model.

3. Imagine wanting to take a video of something, opening up your "premium" app, clicking through some inane popups (because you're in the moment), and then finding out the videos you took were not accessible unless you paid a subscription.

4. If you want to change to this model at least Grandfather in those who already paid with the understanding that it was lifetime.I paid $30 less than a year ago for this app, which then had no subscription model.

5. Had to wipe my phone clean to fix a technical problem that kept creeping up, now Legacy download doesn't work, there's actually an app in the app store that seems to only function to say that you need to download version 7 so that you can download the app you already have in your phone.

6. Haven't used it in a while, and when i went to use it today, I was alarmed to find the app crippled by the developers, in a badly misguided bid to shepard users into a subscription model that absolutely none of us wants.

7. If this is the way you treat your "legacy" customers, I won't be subscribing.*edit* basic functions now paywalled by subscription.

8. I tried to open this once great app which I bought years ago, and it was suddenly deprecated in favor of a new abusive subscription scheme.

9. It's such a shame that I paid full price for this app only for exports to be locked behind a subscription paywall.

10. Settings>Info>Download Filmic Legacy did nothing, so I tried uninstalling/reinstalling the app, and now the loyalty price and download options are gone.

11. The proper thing to do would be to honor the users who bought the app before the subscription model was instated.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Filmic Pro Issues

1. Fix Filmic Pro Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Filmic Pro: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Filmic Pro App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Filmic Pro" » Open Filmic Pro: Mobile Cine Camera » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Filmic Pro » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Filmic Pro: Mobile Cine Camera app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Filmic Pro servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Filmic Pro: Mobile Cine Camera" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Filmic Pro app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Filmic Pro might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Filmic Pro. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Filmic Pro then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Filmic Pro not working

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Filmic Pro be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Filmic Pro not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Filmic Pro may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
