1. Edit: issue fixed in latest update.I really enjoy looking up some of my appliances in my home and troubl- shooting a couple of things that needed to be fixed.

2. There is a known problem with this app AND YOU WONT FIX IT.Opens, I login, then it crashes.very hard to register ,useless wasting my timenot usefull so many restriction hard to access.

3. Great app to have if you want to look up your appliances and what to get to fix them.Will no longer connect via Bluetooth to outdoor unit.Garbage. Constantly crashes before I can even open it.

4. you cannot see the current installed software versions or reach the update button to update software.

5. You have to call a number and for some reason they were closed on Monday, then I called back on Tuesday and no one was able to take my call so I left a message.

6. Well I can't even use it cause it just crashes.Need to reset my password, there is no password reset option.

7. When connecting to outdoor units via bluetooth, the tabs don't display correctly.

8. Tried on several phones and happens to my fellow coworkers too.

9. Cant even select a furnace without the app crashing.Will not let me sign in.

10. Until it can actually work properly I wont recommend it or use it.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Carrier Issues

1. Fix Carrier Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Carrier: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Carrier App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Carrier" » Open Carrier® Service Technician » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Carrier » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Carrier® Service Technician app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Carrier servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Carrier® Service Technician" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Carrier app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Carrier might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Carrier. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Carrier then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Carrier not working


2. Fix Carrier Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Carrier be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Carrier not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Carrier may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
