Protake Customer Insights

1. On Android the features are limited so it doesn't offer anything extra to the default camera and by no mean worth the subscription.Samsung S23 Ultra- protake PRO paid version test Well, let's start with the pros: App looks awesome Intuitive Practical Fast interface Bit rate control Monotor mode over wifi Cons: Basic lenses stock capabilities are not present into the app, another that are present wont work: Prime wide lens can shoot: 4k/30 max, FHD/30 max, HD/30 max The rest of the lenses can't shoot more than FHD 30.

2. The app has potential, but it's not well done! Until then, you can request a refund like i did.For S23 Ultra, anyone noticed that lens on protake don't cover the same area when the same lens are used in default app in video pro mode? For example for 1080p 24fps, it's wider in protake vs default app.... Give 4 stat because be able to record in LogC with my Ultra override the shaky color management by default samsung app.

3. If this problem will be solved, I'll be more than glad to change my rating, since it checks all the things I need for video recording, including Zhiyun support. My actual camera phone's stability is much better than Protake.

4. I won't be renewing my subscription. This is so cool... I have finally found a video recording app with smooth zooming... A-B function is also very helpful in taking Dolly Zoom shots.. The auto focus is very fast and precise.

5. Fully auto mode is fine, but changing Angle (sometimes quite extreme) annoys me.Hi so I just installed it and played with it for 2 seconds, and so far I love it, I am going to fully try tomorrow while filming my next YouTube video, for my channel.

6. App has bugs, and there are almost no updates (based on what people said here) so no one to fix the bugs, and it is a yearly subscription, with out support, so no thanks.Ludicrous claims, but a decent camera app.

7. I only wish it had a few more usable features.. Point of focus, the ability to shoot 8K for high end phones, and a one time purchase option would really make it a grab.

8. I'd defitely spend a good $69 or more for what this app has to offer. It gave me an error after fresh install: when trying to change frame rate from 30 to anything higher, there's "Unexpected error.

9. It might be software glitch due to my phone (Vivo X90 Pro) being new kid on the block and the app hasn't been optimized for those phones yet.

10. iPhone users don't have the same issue and also certain features aren't available on Android phones.

11. Very nicely designed app.The iPhone version is a lot more useful as it allows you to take dual camera videos.

  • Hi

When I use this app, it seems like anytime the face looks away. The exposure jumps a lot. Looks very bad and unprofessional. Is there a solution to this? Anytime I look away the exposure jumps down and then when I look at the camera, the exposure and colors jump up, why is this? I am using a galaxy fold for. And using your pro app and it does this even when I use manual exposure I don't understand why.
    .
Please fix this problem. I was going to buy the Apple don't want to anymore because of this problem.

  • Protake is a very good app but I'm missing the focus and exposure recticles like Filmic Pro has.
Are there any pans to create something look-a-like?

  • Hi, the beauty mode on the app is fixed and doesn’t allow you to adjust the intensity. It’s too intense. How can I change this?

  • I want to use a smartphone for debugging of fast moving mechanical parts in a machine. So I want to make movies at 120fps (or more) with small shutter time (1/1000) to get sharp images. Does protake support shutter control in 120fps mode? Which phones support this at the moment in combination with protake? I only see 60fps as the maximum with shutter control. Please feedback on supported (Android) phones.
    Kind regards,

  • I used this app and bought it for the first time the other day. It worked perfectly. Using it today I’m having massive issues with lag on the video for no reason and can’t use any of the footage. Please assist urgently.
    Thanks

  • I bought this app the other day because it was incredible with my new 12 Mac Pro for filming. Using it today I’m having massive latency issues - the video is lagging a lot and I simply can’t work out why, the settings are the same as the other day. I need assistance ASAP as I’m now running behind on my schedule. This is so disappointing as the videos I filmed the other day were amazing.

  • Good day,

    Brillliant App, thanks!.

As far as I know I have a paid account via google for Android 9,99 last year which works fine incl. "looks" mode.

I also made a purchase a few weeks back and can see two apps on the phone both 9,99 and unfortunately the looks icon is ghosted/lighter and unavailable to use. I would be grateful for a solution thanks.

I havn´t been able to find a website / contact possibility to reach you and tried previously to establish contact via the IPhone 12 directly but
then had various support issues with them leading to 4 or 5 hours
    aggravation.

Looking forward to a prompt reply, thanks
