Eye Handbook Customer Insights

1. I have Android V12 on Google pixelUsed to be great, but now when I open the app and skip the ads, none of the buttons in the app work, rendering it completely useless.

2. Useful app.This has been a very useful app, but lately, I started to have issues with the app crashing when I open it.

3. I dont really want that but I cant do anything else.I was very excited when I downloaded this app to use it as a useful learning tool.

4. I can understand the need to use adverts to sponsor the app but to impose it on the first page unnecessarily delays the opening of the app itself.

5. Ultimately, when uninstalling and reinstalling, I allowed notifications (something I usually don't do for resource apps like this since I already get too many notifications) and now it's working.

6. I get back to my other apps but then periodically I get a message "EyeHandbook keeps stopping" asking me if I want to close the app.

7. I no longer have issues with it crashing.Useful app and was working fine.

8. And god forbid if I'm in an area with poor or no internet access, I can't use the app at all as I can't get past the first barrierUpdate fixed the bug associated with notifications.

9. But from a technical point of view major problem is the slow opening of the app.

10. Now, it freezes upon opening... UPDATE: I got it to work again.

11. I've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times without success.I have seen many apps in opthalmology, however, nothing comes close to eyehandbook.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Eye Handbook Issues

1. Fix Eye Handbook Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Eye Handbook: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Eye Handbook App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Eye Handbook" » Open Eye Handbook » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Eye Handbook » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Eye Handbook app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Eye Handbook servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Eye Handbook" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Eye Handbook app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Eye Handbook might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Eye Handbook. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Eye Handbook then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Eye Handbook not working


2. Fix Eye Handbook Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Eye Handbook be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Eye Handbook not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Eye Handbook may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
