Photo Translator Customer Insights

1. I now got charged £29 for an annual subscription without receiving an email notification that the trial is about to end and can't find a way to get a refund.I don't usually leave reviews for apps I find average but this app definitely is useful.

2. Worst of all, whenever you go to Google Play to manage such subscription, it only gives you the option of "pausing" the payment instead of "cancel" the payment.Money thieves.

3. When I tried to cancel the trial I noticed that I hadn't received a subscription and there was no possibility to cancel via the app.

4. I didn't like the app so I tried to delete it before trial ends, but there were no cancel tab anywhere found so I sent them an email which I never got a response from.

5. I want to change from subscription to the one time payment I vaguely remember seeing in the pop-up.

6. One minor thing I didn't appreciate was I took several picture of the same words and got different translations almost every time.

7. A few problems with the payment system: For some reason you have to click restore purchases after you pay, and it took several tries to get the original purchase prompt to work.

8. There's no way to cancel subscription before 3 day trial ends.

9. It worked, though, so it gets 2 stars for that.So, I thought it would be a cool ability to be able to take a picture of a different language and have it automatically translated to my select language.

10. I had no way to turn it back to english.. this app saved me from a replacement! I took pictures of each setting screens and after 20 min there it was.

11. Free to download but does cost money after a 3 day free trial.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Photo Translator Issues

1. Fix Photo Translator Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Photo Translator: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Photo Translator App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Photo Translator" » Open Photo Translator - Translate » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Photo Translator » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Photo Translator - Translate app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Photo Translator servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Photo Translator - Translate" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Photo Translator app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Photo Translator might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Photo Translator. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Photo Translator then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Photo Translator not working


2. Fix Photo Translator Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Photo Translator be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Photo Translator not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Photo Translator may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
