1. It's not the end of the world, but be cautious if anyone offers a "free" trial, make sure you check a few times that they are not still charging you.The free version works well for my purposes, which is to translate instructions from Chinese to English.
2. It copied the scanned characters and translate them seperately, so not useful when you urgently need to figure out what something is saying. With some translations this works better than Google Translate, and with others the reverse is true.
3. Another app I tried out had an option to automatically choose the language and it worked flawlessly!I tried 3 times to get a translation from Spanish to English on the free version, and couldn't get a readable translation.
4. I have been translating from Chinese and Portuguese both into English and the translations are accurate so far.Great app, glitch free, simple to use, does what it says on the tin.
5. But for stabilty and longer text , scan & translate is my go to.I downloaded this app in December and cancelled it well before the free trial was over.
6. I also use Google translate app for its instant floating text translation but only for a very quick very few lines of text, otherwise its limited.
7. So I tried it out and start nothing! It was Chinese text and trying both Chinese options, the text was translated back to Chinese, both times, instead of English.
8. Sorry but the app kinda pointless now if you have an android phone with Google translate.
9. I had this app for couple years and used it when traveling to different countries, I forgot I even had it because I solely use Google translate now.
10. HINT: Looks like you have to pay before it translates, but you don't need to, just click the X.Did this for Korean to English translation.
11. All translation is via a 3 step process, take photo -> ocr -> translate, any adverts add more steps.
