Why should I report an Issue with Topo GPS?

4. For free maps of Switzerland: SwisstopoSimple OS mapping, and the gps plotting works well.

5. However, the key functionality of planning a route on the map, then looking at the route afterwards, being able to sort routes into folders etc works well.

6. It has all the background permissions and unrestricted battery use, but when Android decides to kick it out of RAM or something, the route that was previously being recorded just disappears.

7. 1 it doesn't link to the coordinate system used by the paper topo maps it draws data from.

8. Downloading the offline maps was slow and had to keep phone screen on while downloading.

9. Following a route is a bit clunky as it ends up creating a new route rather than a separate 'track' linked to the route, but it works fine.

11. Overall it's been a good replacement for the sadly missed old Viewranger appI tried this app as an alternative to Viewranger, and it's the best one I've tried so far.

1. Fix Topo GPS Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Topo GPS: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Topo GPS App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Topo GPS" » Open Topo GPS » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Topo GPS » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Topo GPS app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Topo GPS servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Topo GPS" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Topo GPS app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Topo GPS might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Topo GPS. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Topo GPS then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Topo GPS not working

2. Fix Topo GPS Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Topo GPS be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Topo GPS not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Topo GPS may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
