1. Also beware when downloading maps for offline use you need to stay on the screen.Generally good but two issues.
2. Update - will email you as I'm fairly certain the issue requires a software fixIt's a bit wierd and unfair to charge for maps that are actually provided for free by governments.
3. Purchased tiles seem sharper and more vibrant than the Ordnance Survey apps offline maps.
4. For free maps of Switzerland: SwisstopoSimple OS mapping, and the gps plotting works well.
5. However, the key functionality of planning a route on the map, then looking at the route afterwards, being able to sort routes into folders etc works well.
6. It has all the background permissions and unrestricted battery use, but when Android decides to kick it out of RAM or something, the route that was previously being recorded just disappears.
7. 1 it doesn't link to the coordinate system used by the paper topo maps it draws data from.
8. Downloading the offline maps was slow and had to keep phone screen on while downloading.
9. Following a route is a bit clunky as it ends up creating a new route rather than a separate 'track' linked to the route, but it works fine.

11. Overall it's been a good replacement for the sadly missed old Viewranger appI tried this app as an alternative to Viewranger, and it's the best one I've tried so far.
