The videos are also really helpful if you're not sure how to do a movement so it's really educational while you're starting out.I have been into fitness for about 7 years now, and I just found out about this app a few months ago from one of my favorite influencers having her workout programs on this app and I just love it so much!! ❤️ I've never been organized with my workouts, and it's so nice having what I'm doing every day right in front of me and also the different programs that she offers on the app have been a game changer! I totally recommend this to anyone passionate about fitness! It's a game changer!!I really really really like this app.

2. Or even a chromecast option....just having the option to put the videos on a larger screen would be amazing! Edit: Chromecast feature was added and my life is forever changed! Love being able to do the workouts from my TV instead of my phone or ipad!It has kept me motivated and active.

3. Even multiple years lateHaving the workouts available really helps to build working out back into a habit and start enjoying it again! The way the workouts are set up also let's you to work at your own pace with the weight you personally use, which makes tracking your progress in each exercise easier.

4. After the app crashing issue I updated to the latest version it is working again, though the timer keeps asking if it has permission to notify about rest timers and notifications when the app is in the background every time.

5. But it looks like the developers are responsive.Great workouts! I am advanced when it comes to working out and have never been challenged by these app workouts before.

6. I can get set workouts anywhere lol it's the features that make the ratings.It keeps getting stuck on the loading screen.

7. When it does load, it gets stuck, and I am unable to scroll or browse, and if I try to click the "me" button, it gets stuck loading again.

8. This app definitely does have beginner and intermediate workouts but it also has very challenging advanced stuff.

9. I used to be able to time my entire workout as a whole and that is gone as well.

10. Used to be able to choose your set time for the timer and no longer is available.

11. Otherwise, a cool tool to use.Don't open more than your music and this app and you'll be fine.. if you switch between 3 things in-between sets and this app isn't always the one in-between, it'll restart and take a while to reload the lift, even if you have it downloaded.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Playbook Issues

1. Fix Playbook Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Playbook: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Playbook App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Playbook" » Open Playbook: Workout, Fitness App » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Playbook » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Playbook: Workout, Fitness App app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Playbook servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Playbook: Workout, Fitness App" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Playbook app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Playbook might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Playbook. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Playbook then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Playbook not working


2. Fix Playbook Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Playbook be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Playbook not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Playbook may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
