Customer Insights

1. It is difficult to use while disembarking, particularly with low bandwidth airport wifi.It looks like when choosing Preclearance, there is no list and can't search for any Canadian airports (tried searching YYZ, Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver etc).

2. I also had to manually enter my DOB although did not indicate the date format until I started typingThis app would be useful if the bureaucrats at the port of entry did not tell you to get into the wrong line when you landed.

3. 👎 This was the error code I received.⬇️ "Submission Denied One of the travelers in your group is unable to be processed using the mobile app.

4. Please proceed through the normal customs process:Was able to set up quickly while in line at Dulles, though surprisingly they did not have the QR scanner.

5. Each airport is different of course but there was no signage at the point we were given incorrect verbal direction (Logan).Poor. It's unclear.

6. I did that and it works accept that it interpreted my passport code incorrectly (not good).

7. I for one was very happy with this app and it is another example of the efficiencies of the United States.It isn't clear who is traveler #1 and traveler #2 (for example), when adding a traveler picture.

8. But when you choose U.S. Airport, all US airports are listed.Waste of time.

9. Using this app will take more time but normal process seems like taking much less time.

10. The passport scan feature works better than my experience with airside.

11. This, in any case, didn't add any confusion or delay at the port of entry.App looks OK but I had a few issues with it.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Issues

1. Fix Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart : Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "" » Open Mobile Passport Control » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Mobile Passport Control app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Mobile Passport Control" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall . If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing not working


2. Fix Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
