Amex GBT Customer Insights

1. I have not found the option to remain logged-in.I am not able to signin with my corporate email, whenever I am trying to signin I am seeing this error "there was a server , please try again later".Since the latest upgrade, the chat function crashes the app...It was not helpful at all, I needed actually support during my travel but I have to try 3 time because the people on the other side were closing the chat in the middle of conversation, taking too long to reply for an urgent situation, the third one was better.

2. This is very inconvenient.Not even possible to login using SSO, clicking on SSO leads to a screen with a email field and continue button, that leads back to the normal loginEvery time you need to use the app it requires update.

3. The worst part is there's not even a proper support email address to report any issues regarding this buggy app.I login with username and password and I get prompt everytime that 30 day login is expired.

4. Update in response to developer feedback: So I need two different logins (and therefore two attack vectors for hackers) in order to access a single set of info on the back end? Here's an ingenious idea... let users log in with the same credentials.

5. And for that, my review remains at one star.Can't even login now! In the past this app had issues with saved credentials and required to login on each occasion.

6. Says I cannot use an email address for a user name when I just registered using one and can log into the website with it just fine.

7. Password reset works bad.Any travel app is impractical in case you need to log-in each use.

8. In addition to other problems mentioned in the review, adding flights to my calendar also has problems.

9. Now with the latest update we can't even login.

10. It's some sort of syncing error, but with all the problems there's almost no point in using the appWon't let me log in.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Amex GBT Issues

1. Fix Amex GBT Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Amex GBT: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Amex GBT App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Amex GBT" » Open Amex GBT Mobile » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Amex GBT » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Amex GBT Mobile app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Amex GBT servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Amex GBT Mobile" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Amex GBT app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Amex GBT might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Amex GBT. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Amex GBT then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Amex GBT not working

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Amex GBT be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Amex GBT not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Amex GBT may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
