1. Compared with other apps the Helmut is far more comprehensive allows framing of old and new film sizes and handles both B/W and coloured film.idea is good but it crash, test in the mobile and crash after shot, test in my tablet and after shot come back at the opening screen.
2. Quick low-res snapshots are very useful; think of them as simple digital proofs that you can save or share, not as the be-all end tool to create high quality prints.Good piece of software for what I call quick and dirty scans.
3. Please fix it guys - this was the best film scanning app on the market before!App worked great, but I recently upgraded to Samsung S10 plus and the app no longer works.
4. Really bummed because it worked great with my S9 plus.During a family house clearance we came across bundles of black and white negatives circa 1920-30.
5. I would pay for a high res version with different file save options. This used to work perfectly, but keeps crashing on open (as mentioned by many other people here).
6. I tried it in a Samsung S6 and it seems to be working OK.This is most precise APP I have used to convert Negatives to positives.
7. not the real thing :(I just wish the scans were higher res! They're not good for much besides looking at on a phone.
8. final product not even remotely good enough to pass off as an actual photo.
9. Resolution could be higher and would be nice if you could set the format details (for me, 6x6 B&W) and they stay like that even if you close the app and reopen it.
10. The Helmut app was brilliant in capturing the images of relatives long dead in their youth.
11. It's the tool you use when you want to quickly review negatives (color or b/w) on the fly.
