1. Also, the margin notes are supposed to automatically turn grey, but sometimes bits and pieces of the margin notes randomly turn black as I'm typing (obviously a small bug, but it's annoying sometimes). This app blows away any regular calculator app! Love that you can write beside your calculations.
2. I've used it a lot, just to shoot my calc tape pg to a nearby printer, to hand to someone. This is a very good calculator, with a particularly good tape (scratch pad) displaying, correcting, saving and sharing calculations.
3. Developer has created a Windows version as well. This app has been really good for years, but a couple months ago it started having a problem: whenever I delete a value in the list of equations, CalcTape suddenly scrolls all the way up to the top of the tape.
4. That aside, this has become my everyday calculator, the scratch-pad tally tape and its capabilities for adding notes being such a strong, useful feature.
5. Awesome tool, exactly what I was looking forA great app, especially with the margin note-taking ability, but it would be nice to be able to save separate tapes for simultaneously ongoing purposes.
6. Definitely would recommend it to anyone that works retail or in any field that deals with money.I really like having something that I can work with running adjustable calculations, it makes it very easy to work with numbers.
7. It's very disconcerting and slows down my math considerably! One of the best calculators that mimic a tape calculator.
8. When working with customers I have to be able to show the same item with different discounts so with the programed buttons I can do this with just a few strokes.
9. I especially like the ability to go back and edit a calc and it automatically returns the update result on the tape.
10. I have to scroll down through the sometimes very long tape and find the spot where I'd just deleted the value or find the changed result of an equation.
11. Seamless input, editing, and even ad-hoc customizations, with no extra menu/setting nonsense up front (don't worry! all the extra nonsense is neatly tucked in the menu, for when u DO want to mess around with settings).
