1. Prices are about $4-5 per lead higher than I'm comfortable with sometimes.Been using it for around almost 2 years and been hired over 80 times using this app, pretty awesome! I'm new to my city so it was hard to start but using Thumbtack made it easy to get clients.

2. Prices are expensive and some leads don't even reply back or intend to hire so it is kinda frustrating to be paying for ghost clients but besides that all has been good.

3. In just a few days I racked up a couple of hundred dollars in lead fees, and if you lower the amount you'll pay for leads it penalizes you in the search results.

4. Thumbtacks policy on paying for leads is a really poor money and forces pros to take their clientele offline Thumbtack looses money in this scenario.

9. Don't need an app for it.I love it for clients, but the programming is a nightmare on the app! I've used this app for over 4 years now, and it still doesn't always notify in a timely matter, the keyboard bounces around, and you can't scroll and see your whole message sometime.

11. There are minor QOL things that would be nice, like for Android, somehow the textbox doesn't automatically bounce upward in order to keep the text from traveling underneath the keyboard, and I can't scroll down to see what I'm writing anymore.

1. Fix Thumbtack Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Thumbtack: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Thumbtack App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Thumbtack" » Open Thumbtack for Professionals » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Thumbtack » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Thumbtack for Professionals app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Thumbtack servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Thumbtack for Professionals" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Thumbtack app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Thumbtack might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Thumbtack. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Thumbtack then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Thumbtack not working

2. Fix Thumbtack Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Thumbtack be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Thumbtack not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Thumbtack may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
