Thus far, the contractors have been pretty responsive, and I really like the fact that the app allows you to have direct communication with the contractors which allows you to better communicate the services you need and negotiate rates (something the Bunji app does not allow, which is a huge turn off).

2. Required fields for catering service are very rigid and limiting, no way to search for what I was looking for or be flexible (eg pick breakfast lunch or dinner, no option for afternoon tea or "other")I've used Thumbtack for more than 7 years now.

3. I'm not sure why Thumbtack would worsen the experience overtime, seems counterintuitive....going to look for other optionsVery easy to use App.

4. (Based off of some bad experiences I've heard that contractors had with people who hired them)Feels like it's all driven by paid ads, which means if you've already ruled out the top paid listings, accessing anything else is hard.

5. Additionally, sometimes the conversation moves to text and Thumbtack doesn't know this and keeps notifying you to respond tp their message.I've used the Thumbtack app on two occasions when I needed some local movers.

1. Fix Thumbtack Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Thumbtack: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Thumbtack App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Thumbtack" » Open Thumbtack: Hire Service Pros » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Thumbtack » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Thumbtack: Hire Service Pros app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Thumbtack servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Thumbtack: Hire Service Pros" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Thumbtack app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Thumbtack might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Thumbtack. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Thumbtack then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Thumbtack not working

2. Fix Thumbtack Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Thumbtack be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Thumbtack not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Thumbtack may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
