Smart AppLock Pro Customer Insights

1. The fingerprint feature doesn't work anymore to unlock apps.

2. The fingerprint feature will not work to unlock apps that are locked anymore.

3. Doesn't look like an update will be coming our :/Actually works perfect, BUT it has contact with Amazon, Yahoo & Facebook servers after EACH unlocking.

4. Funny part is that it works for Smart AppLock but doesn't for the paid version, in my opinion a bit ridiculous.

5. Will rate 5 stars when this is fixed.I have been satisfied with this app for a couple years now, until the latest update I had to install for my galaxy S8.

6. Now the fingerprint unlock feature does not work.

7. Also I've noticed that some apps don't seem to work with the fingerprint scan.

8. Until it's fixed I will only give it 1 star and will start exploring other apps that work like this one is suppose to especially if you pay for it.Same and Freddie.

11. Furthermore Applock requires way too many permissions and keeps you in the dark what happens in the background.Can not trust it on Android 9, was working ok on earlier versions of OS.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Smart AppLock Pro Issues

1. Fix Smart AppLock Pro Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Smart AppLock Pro: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Smart AppLock Pro App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Smart AppLock Pro" » Open Smart AppLock Pro » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Smart AppLock Pro » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Smart AppLock Pro app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Smart AppLock Pro servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Smart AppLock Pro" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Smart AppLock Pro app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Smart AppLock Pro might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Smart AppLock Pro. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Smart AppLock Pro then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Smart AppLock Pro not working


2. Fix Smart AppLock Pro Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Smart AppLock Pro be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Smart AppLock Pro not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Smart AppLock Pro may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
