1. Shocking.EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED! I was told in June that in the middle of July the feature to sync Facebook friends with phone contacts would be fixed.

2. I am currently looking for a new app that will sync my Facebook friends with my phone contacts.Not sure what this app is supposed to do.

3. On my S8+ it would sync with my Facebook and Instagram contacts, but doesn't even show up the app when I put it on my new phone.

4. When I went to sync with my Facebook friends, I got the same error message other reviewers have been mentioning: "Facebook is unsupported" - so there's no point of the app.

5. Don't list Facebook sync in the description if you're app doesn't even support it! Edit: Got a message to contact their customer support.

6. ThanksAaand it STILL does not have the ability to sync Facebook profile pictures! Click on the Facebook sync button and nothing happens.

7. Facebook is not even an option to sync your contacts to.

8. However, they have changed it to where you need to pay and upgrade to get the same features it use to have for free; such as, scanning social media profiles for new/updated contact photos and merging contacts.

9. It stopped syncing contacts, tells me various services are unsupported, and refused to actually answer calls Overall it has become more trouble than it is worth.

10. While syncme has been great at giving me options to block calls and giving the names or location as to where the calls are coming from.

11. I did and got told Facebook sync is temporarily unavailable and it will be solved in a few weeks.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Sync.ME Issues

1. Fix Sync.ME Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Sync.ME: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Sync.ME App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Sync.ME" » Open Sync.ME: Caller ID & Contacts » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Sync.ME » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Sync.ME: Caller ID & Contacts app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Sync.ME servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Sync.ME: Caller ID & Contacts" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Sync.ME app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Sync.ME might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Sync.ME. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Sync.ME then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Sync.ME not working


2. Fix Sync.ME Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Sync.ME be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Sync.ME not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Sync.ME may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
