1. First of all, the inmate's voice plays from the small speaker that you're supposed to put your phone up to during a call, not the regular speaker that allows you to hear a person and see their face at the same time.

2. And if a text or call comes through my phone, even if I make no effort to acknowledge the interruption, the app will glitch, often causing the call to drop.Its alright but most of the time i dont get my calls.

3. I can't even send a video message.steals time during every visit (we've watched the seconds skip), freezes up, sometimes there's no audio or it echoes and sometimes it won't connect at all but still takes minutes away.

4. Calls are being dropped also so i dont know if the guards are doing it purposely or if they are just dropping.The communication is poor, you can't hold a conversation the system always goes out completely, a lot of static within the system you cannot hear what the other individual is saying need to upgrade the system.

5. 😠😠😠what's the point of having it!!! Most of the time when she calls the sound is horrible...either very loud and distorted or you can't hear.

6. I like the ideal of seeing my Love, have to call two or three times just to finish a sentence.Most of the time the app doesn't work.

7. This app is atrocious! 😑 When your inmate calls, you have to open the app, click around everywhere until everything starts populating correct amounts and names and such, then you MIGHT get to answer the call.

8. And then most of the time he can't hear me at all! I've tried my Bluetooth headset and 2 different speakers.... 75% of the time he gets no sound on his end.

9. I had to put the phone to my ear to hear anything, and was terminated for not having my face in the.video. Yeah.

10. When and if it connects the call has so much lag, you never even see a face or hear the person.

11. It takes 15-20 seconds to connect (with time running).

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix HomeWAV Issues

1. Fix HomeWAV Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart HomeWAV: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the HomeWAV App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "HomeWAV" » Open HomeWAV » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for HomeWAV » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear HomeWAV app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from HomeWAV servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "HomeWAV" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check HomeWAV app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, HomeWAV might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall HomeWAV. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall HomeWAV then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing HomeWAV not working


2. Fix HomeWAV Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make HomeWAV be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to HomeWAV not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, HomeWAV may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

I have made 5 payments via PayNearMe. Only 3 of those payments went through. PayNearMe account department have receipts and confirmation on all 5 payments. I have 5 receipts and 5 different confirmation numbers for ALL 5 payments as well. The conclusion that i,myself, and the PayNearMe account department have came to,is that the issue is in your department. An email will be sent to your main office with evidence of ALL 5 payments being made and processed. In order for this issue to be resolved I am seeking reimbursement for the 2 payments including fees paid or a manual input for the 2 payments that were made but not applied to my account.
