There are a few occasional bugs (e.g. scanning with the 'black on white' enhancements causes the white paper to appear as black for some reason on my device; other enhancements work absolutely fine and can be used instead), but none that can't easily be worked around by the user or which really decrease the easiness of use or the final quality, which is why I'm still giving the app 5 stars.Great for scanning letters, invoices, etc but fiddly getting the edges right ... it doesn't detect them properly and you have to fiddle moving my balls around.

1. Fix MDScan + OCR Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart MDScan + OCR: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the MDScan + OCR App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "MDScan + OCR" » Open MDScan + OCR » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for MDScan + OCR » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear MDScan + OCR app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from MDScan + OCR servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "MDScan + OCR" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check MDScan + OCR app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, MDScan + OCR might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall MDScan + OCR. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall MDScan + OCR then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing MDScan + OCR not working

2. Fix MDScan + OCR Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make MDScan + OCR be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to MDScan + OCR not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, MDScan + OCR may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
