Staples Advantage Customer Insights

1. Looking forward to the next version.This app is trash, I'm lucky if I can get 1 thing in my cart then have to restart my phone to keep getting things in my cart, every month it takes me days to spend a total of $90! If it wasn't for having to use this app for work I would never order anything from staples againThe app could use a Search functionality on every page, rather than going to the main page in order to do this.

2. Could be missing it of course but I just utilized the app quickly to place an order super fast because we needed something that was not added to the ordering list the beginning of the month.This app is fine for searching for products and ordering, but from a business standpoint it is somewhat disappointing.

3. No mortar locations, and with an app that doesn't work, sounds to me that I need to find another supplier and quickly.Convenient. You can scan items and also quickly order things.

4. Hopefully they will upgrade the app in the near future to include these important features, but for now☹👎.I think this would be great for someone with a lot to order or keep track of, but for me it is easier to just jot a list as I walk through taking inventory.

5. forget to place an order before you left work? thats okay, browse your past purchase history and select your items.

6. I need to track orders on the go and report to different departments, so this app is pretty useless to me as is because order status and tracking information is not an option.

7. Sometimes, you recall needing an item but must nearly restart the entire process in order to search by name for it.

8. I thought the scan option would benefit me, but it has not found a single item so far, including Staples branded items.

9. Wide product range! My only gripe is that the app has alot of delays and at times when I type it all appears at once, scrolling down lists has big delays and jumps, but it could be that it's not optimized for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 yet.I like the app and the possibilities it offers.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Staples Advantage Issues

1. Fix Staples Advantage Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Staples Advantage: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Staples Advantage App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Staples Advantage" » Open Staples Advantage » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Staples Advantage » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Staples Advantage app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Staples Advantage servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Staples Advantage" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Staples Advantage app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Staples Advantage might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Staples Advantage. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Staples Advantage then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Staples Advantage not working


2. Fix Staples Advantage Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Staples Advantage be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Staples Advantage not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Staples Advantage may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
