1. This is the kind of thing that destroys confidence in a brand, Vivitar.GARBAGE! Can't connect the camera to my phone although they are connected via Wifi, says "Go to system preferences connect to camera wifi and try again".
2. I then went to my phone's WiFi settings and then searched for another WiFi network then the camera's WiFi network (model of the camera) was displayed.
3. Connected DVR-917HD to MotoZ4 fine first time but will need to forget WiFi network and reconnect through phone WiFi settings.
4. Kind of confusing so it seems that the app needs to be able to release some network assignments even though the app says that I am connected to the camera via the app.
5. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app, used different phones (Galaxy S10+ and Note 9), erased and reconnected to the camera wifi and keep getting that error.
6. After having established a connection to the camera's wifi network the app would still not, for whatever reason, even recognize the connection.
7. Constant error that it can't connect and tells you to go connect to the camera in your phone settings.
8. I clicked on the forget network option and then tried to reconnect to the camera again and it connected.
9. Totally useless in this condition.Connecting to camera was easy, taking a picture or video seems to start and stop fine, then it's useless, constantly freezing & crashing on my galaxy 9.
10. Ball is in your court, good luckAt first I could not believe the overwhelming number of comments indicating that this app would not even connect to the camera.
11. Can change resolution and light settings of the camera you are using fine.
