Porsche Connect Customer Insights

1. Sending a nav target does never work And don't tell my, I have to connect to the car directly over WiFi, that cannot be the intended use for turning on the A/C or sending over a navigation target.

2. Unfortunately, though, I must continue to use it to play uncompressed Amazon music on my 911 (cannot go straight bluetooth, because that compresses it.) The good news is that Porsche is replacing it with My Porsche app.

3. 👎no clue how to use this app..no way to transfer destination to the car.. doesn't have any other functionality any way...what a waste.

4. It does not allow me to set profiles and the timer didn't work when set for charging.

5. But I am still able to follow instructions sent to me to transfer POI So bumping rating to 3 ⭐️Really disappointing.

6. Should've bought a Tesla if I wanted good and intuitive dashboard controls and easy pairing to phone.

7. This is a beta version surely? After much dialogue with Porsche UK and dealer : connectivity is more reliable but all the weaknesses remain.

8. The Porsche app and in dash navigation are atrocious at best and non-functional at worst.

9. This and the software interface on the car itself (particularly music, charging and HUD) are major drawbacks to what is otherwise a fabulous car (Taycan 4S+).

10. Connecting via the pcm hotspot and inputting the password then requires login / authorisation from a webpage that cannot be reached.

11. App states that location was transferred to vehicle but I certainly cannot find it there.Absolutely THE worst app I've ever used.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Porsche Connect Issues

1. Fix Porsche Connect Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Porsche Connect: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Porsche Connect App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Porsche Connect" » Open Porsche Connect » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Porsche Connect » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Porsche Connect app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Porsche Connect servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Porsche Connect" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Porsche Connect app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Porsche Connect might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Porsche Connect. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Porsche Connect then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Porsche Connect not working


2. Fix Porsche Connect Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Porsche Connect be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Porsche Connect not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Porsche Connect may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
