5. And Google uses your compatible devices and data to make your home helpful, but only in the ways you allow.

6. Pin your most-used devices, automations, and actions to the Favorites tab for easy access right when you open the app.

10. Turn on the lights, adjust the thermostat, or get an alert when there’s a person or package at your front door.

Google Home Customer Insights

1. One button was Kitchen as a single button that controlled On/Off for two strands of lights, one LED Smart, the other a Smart Plug with strand of normal Christmas lights.

2. Among other things that don't work now is the ability to change the color of lights I paid extra to do so.

3. To make things more annoying, the Home Hub Max camera doesn't work 90% of the time, but even when it does work, the microphone barely picks up any sound besides the loudest of things, speech is imperceptible.

4. The voice recognition has gotten worse year over year, commands that used to work no longer do (e.g. when telling it to set the thermostat to cool, "set" used to work, but now I have to tell it to "turn" the thermostat to cool.

5. If it wasn't for the time and money I have in "smart things" I would have dropped the platform long ago.Worked great till this spring, June 2023.

6. Additionally, the slider option on the previous UI for dimming and brightening lights was far more intuitive than the current interfaces offering.

7. The app just crashes returning to the 1st screen which is a useless list of the lights unsorted.

8. The first screen used to be nicely organized by rooms now it's blobs that tap lights on and off.

9. For example (and there are many), I used to have all my lock screen home button panel setup and now it's all over the place.

10. I'm about done with Google smart home, maybe Alexa will be more reliable.I enjoyed the app far more before the rework, now I have to click way more to do what I could do right from the home screen before.

11. Changing colors was easy with a whole list of dots, now a color wheel that is unresponsive and no DARK RED.
