1. It tracks transactions even when you delete your bank routing and account number and debit card is still some way tracks your spending and your income and will continue to charge you with even when you ask them to cancel.

2. It's a good idea, and I'm not sure if everyone faces a similar problem, but it is almost impossible for me to properly use it.Horrible, haven't been able to complete the signup process.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Cleo AI Issues

1. Fix Cleo AI Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Cleo AI: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Cleo AI App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Cleo AI" » Open Cleo AI: Budget & Build Credit » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Cleo AI » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Cleo AI: Budget & Build Credit app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Cleo AI servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Cleo AI: Budget & Build Credit" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Cleo AI app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Cleo AI might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Cleo AI. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Cleo AI then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Cleo AI not working


2. Fix Cleo AI Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Cleo AI be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Cleo AI not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Cleo AI may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

I don’t understand why I was charged for the Plus subscription I haven’t had the app downloaded for months I had to reinstall it to cancel it and it messed my account up when you guys did that and I don’t understand why you guys have a talk to human option when we can’t even talk to a human only another robot and only lets us pick from prompts and not say what our actual problem is actually makes it more frustrating because we can’t, so I want to make sure I’m going to get refunded because this is ridiculous and shouldn’t have happened anyway and now my account it’s fucked because of it.

I borrowed the initial $20 and have paid it back. I’ve joined credit builder and have tried to advance Cleo says up to $70. When I do she oks me through the 4 steps then when it says how much you need there’s nothing there. Also my Capital One account has been linked but it says she’s looking for a ACH approved account??? My Cap One account is ACH approved.

I had Cleo Plus and was able to borrow and repay $20. I signed up for builder just to be able to borrow $100. My limit stayed at $20. If they hadn't said you will get $100, or that there is no guarantee, I would have just kept Cleo Plus. So I upgraded and paid an extra $14 for nothing. I think 1 of these 2 things seem fair; 1. Refund the builder charge ($14) and limit me to $20, or keep me on the builder and let me borrow $100 like it said. That's the only reason I ever upgraded to builder. Plus has everything I need except for the low limit. Thank you.

I have tried to reach a live representative for weeks now. The few times I speak to one I get a response unrelated to my actual complaint and questions. When I tell the representative this they simply do not reply. Cleo lied. The automated help bot would not allow me to unsubscribe and told me I have to pay my $20 outstanding loan amount before they will let me. This is not true. I read their entire Terms and Conditions. Nowhere does it mention that I am required to repay prior to unsubscribing. I tell them this and ask for a copy of the section of their T&Cs where it says I must repay to cancel account and they refuse to acknowledge and refuse to send me where it says I have to repay to unsubscribe. They are continuing to charge my account without my permission. I cannot even get a new debit card because they are charging by debiting my direct account #. This is illegal. I signed a legally binding contract with them that states in order to unsubscribe I just need to go in the app and select the option. They are breaking this contract by not allowing me to unsubscribe. I have reported to my states Attorney General, I am filing a BBB complaint, AND I am calling the FDIC to report a complaint as well. Those of you who Are victims of Cleo's fraud, whether they stole your money, don't let you unsubscribe, are charging your account without your permission, won't issue a refund, etc. You HAVE options. Cleo AI is owned by Web Bank. Web Bank is a member of the FDIC. Call the FDIC and file a formal complaint because Cleo IS subject to their rules and regulations.

Please cancel my Cleo Plus subscription. My email is davidraphael624@redacted, my phone is +19178259628 and my name is David Werner. If you try to tell me that you're going to keep charging me $9.99 a month until I pay back $30 I will call a lawyer. You charge me $10 a month plus interest on the loan to borrow $30 from your app every 2 weeks and I'm done with this racket. There are credit cards for people with bad credit that are less predatory than your app. If your email response isn't a direct yes saying I will no longer be charged, you can expect a cease and desist. Thank you.

I am getting very fustrated with the lack and delayed responses. Cleo has my money in my wallet hostage. Each time I tried to withdraw it says my bank needs to reconnect but in fact is connected. I tried deleting it and adding it, connecting once again but each time I tried to withdraw it claims is not connected. I tried to make a test deposit of 1.00 dollar and of course that worked perfectly so it is connected to take my money but somehow disconnected to give it back. I tried chatting with them on their (human) help desk, and Michael said she would escalate. No words for 24 hours, then I get a message from Isak asking for my last for digits of the bank account, info provided and again no response, Mean while I have over $600 dollars trapped in Cleo’s wallet and they are not helping to get this resolved! They basically have my money hostage! I need help

Hello, this morning I attempted to withdraw the money Cleo had taken out of my account. The app on my phone continuously crashed and won't allow me to navigate or even open it. I tried to complete this withdrawal via my desktop, but I had to unlink my bank account as it was telling me there was an error and I needed to re-confirm. Now it won't let me link my account at all, it keeps telling me the account is already linked but I cannot access it. I've tried three times.

Repayment was taken from account ending in 1841 which was supposed to be unlinked along with the debit card. It was SUPPOSED to come from account ending in 0741. I need that money replaced in 1841 ASAP for my gas bill. It's WINTER! I've repeatedly emailed and can find zero working phone numbers for you.
