Land Rover Remote Customer Insights

1. I only ever got it to work once on the old app, but I would like the functionality again since it was quite an expensive optional extra from the factory that has never really worked as advertised in your TV commercials.This app is the most expensive waste of money I've made by far! The price of the cars one would assume you should successfully be able to start the vehicle, wrong! Since LR can't seem to figure out how to correct this failure, they should make the vehicles capable to install after market remotes.

2. Lastly it would be amazing if they integrated with Google Assistant to remote start your vehicle on cold days like several other brands have.When it comes to configuring the apps to link with your Land Rover car it is simple and easy to do.

3. For the price point and no ability to auto start with a remote (like many vehicles) you expect something as simple as an app to work.

4. However if you are short one FOB you cannot use this apps to be a substitute! Also I discovered I cannot register additional users! I have tried to get tech support help on this issue but I am still waiting.Don't buy a Land Rover... this app needs a lot of work!! Too many errors.

5. I love my Discovery but auto start issues are souring my views on the brand and 3 years in it may be time to trade for a new brand.

6. There was a miss communication between the app and the vehicleI have been dealing with the remote start over phone app for months.

7. You have to leave your phone unlocked and open while you wait for it to start which may take multiple attempts or not work at all.

8. But the biggest issue is that it is hit or miss on you actually being able to start your vehicle.

9. This is very disappointing to say the least.Update 6/6/23-no fix for the auto start.

10. Finally after 20C infotainment update and this app update just a few days ago I can start my car anytime any day.

11. Mostly I just want the climate start to work.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Land Rover Remote Issues

1. Fix Land Rover Remote Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Land Rover Remote: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Land Rover Remote App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Land Rover Remote" » Open Land Rover Remote » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Land Rover Remote » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Land Rover Remote app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Land Rover Remote servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Land Rover Remote" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Land Rover Remote app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Land Rover Remote might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Land Rover Remote. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Land Rover Remote then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Land Rover Remote not working

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Land Rover Remote be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.

  • Delete remote account please. I have sold the car. Reg NU69 ZZJ There does not seem to be an option to remove the account via the app.
