Jaguar Remote Customer Insights

1. Everything else works fine, but not the vehicle location.I have no idea why Jaguar would have a subscription based app when the dumb thing won't even work most the time.

2. All features like lock, unlock, remote start, and locate work as they should though.Leaves a lot to be desired.

3. Trying to remotely start the car is a pain if you can't actually see or hear if the car starts because sometimes it will say it's not able to contact the vehicle and you'll get to it and it is actually running and sometimes it just won't start it at all.

4. A view which can show some statistics of the journeys over a period of time like average distance travelled, total distance travelled, average fuel economy, etc.

5. I will be installing a after market remote start system next spring.The new version of the app sucks.

6. It's due time for an update to this app to fix all the bugs and issues but they seemed to have abandoned this app.This app is way better that the previous version but has a lot of scope for improvement.

7. It's never able to contact the car, and forget about actually trying to send a remote command such as starting or locking it.

8. It's a $120 yearly fee to maybe be able to see the current fuel level.App was working great for the 1st week or so, and another that it works when it wants to.

9. I will try to remote start, it either won't do it or the car will start but the app will not show the the car has started.

10. I have to restart the device to avoid having to unlock it constantly to have it crash.. I installed this app on Android 12 ,so not sure how the experience was on earlier versions.

11. I only renewed the subscription because I wanted to be able to turn on the air conditioning before getting in the car since I live in Las Vegas and it is really hot.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Jaguar Remote Issues

1. Fix Jaguar Remote Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Jaguar Remote: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Jaguar Remote App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Jaguar Remote" » Open Jaguar Remote » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Jaguar Remote » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Jaguar Remote app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Jaguar Remote servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Jaguar Remote" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Jaguar Remote app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Jaguar Remote might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Jaguar Remote. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Jaguar Remote then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Jaguar Remote not working


2. Fix Jaguar Remote Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Jaguar Remote be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Jaguar Remote not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Jaguar Remote may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
