Customer Insights

1. NOT SAFE!Bad design with hidden pay-gate It will let you scan a few pages, some look like photos & some turn high-contrast black/white like a PDF scan, but when you try to save or export it your only way forward with your scans is to agree to a trial which is "3 days free, then $39.99/year." This wasn't visible before I took the scans, so I might be able to scan one page at a time, save then scan the next page, but I would have to delete my current scans and I dont have another opportunity to rescan.I tried to cancel this subscription before the free trial was over multiple times and it would not let me! So now I'm stuck paying for a subscription I don't even want.

2. I had to go to a Store to scan the document clearly.Deceptive subscription screen on first startup: it encourages you to subscribe, including one option that gives a 7-day free trial.

3. Only changes I would make (1) when saving a scanned document, allow us to name that document instead of having to go back and rename the document, (2) a recent update just added an extra step to do it as pdf or jpg...why???, (3) another recent update changed the formatting so when the document is received it is at 2/3 size...why??? No apparent way to fix this!Mobile scanner did not auto-detect document I was scanning and images were poor.

4. After trying everything I finally learned that you can go to the app store to cancel the subscription but I still lost money as it forced me to pay for the first year and the email address is invalid so I can't even request a refund 🙄Overall, I like this app.

5. Also they run ads between single page scans so be ready to wait 30+seconds each time.Great app, but I tried to cancel subscription and couldn't.

6. And, allow users to attach or send multiple files in one email, rather than separate communications.They offer 7 day trial but then automatically enroll you and bill you for their plan.

7. This is ultimately an inconvenience.WARNING! As soon as I clicked download, my phone froze for 15 seconds, it never showed any progress or indication the app every actually started to download, it stayed showing "waiting" and my phone kept freezing solid.

8. I do have a couple of suggestion: to allow users to download the pdf file directly to their mobile device, not just email.

9. Then every time I tried to open the app, it would freeze my phone on a black screen, it never opened.

10. I also tried to email the address in the previous comment and it returned.

11. I tried to email the address given in the app and it's not a valid email.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Issues

1. Fix Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart : Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "" » Open Mobile Scanner App - Scan PDF » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Mobile Scanner App - Scan PDF app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Mobile Scanner App - Scan PDF" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall . If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing not working


2. Fix Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • need to cancel my 1 year subscription which has got renewed for a 1year deducting £39.99 from my account. haven't used the app since 29th July

  • Hi, I have downloaded an app on 23rd of May and same day canceled it. I have an email saying ticket has been raised for cancellation. Today I have been vharge 36 pounds for it. Could you please help me sort it out as I have canceled an app in my 3 days off free trial and still got charge. I would like to get a full refund
