1. I'm considering canceling the paper I'm so bloody frustrated.Subscribed and now cant read anything at all keep getting directed to a blank page that says not found.

2. Now I can't read the paper on my phone thru the app! Horrible.I subscribed.

3. Ironic once you pay cant read anything and no way to unsubscribe from the paper take your $$ and screw you.

4. Know people personally in New Bedford's Attorneys General's office!! Should have some response very quick once they get involved.I can't sign in.

5. That's for every section today 3/1/2020.Sucks. You read something and it gets stuck on it no matter how many times you log out or refresh.

6. Typical Standard Times about to call Attorney general's office and Better Business Bureau.

7. When opting to sign I get redirected to a blank page.

8. Please fix this now.I subscribe to the newspaper, I am suppose to get online paper also.

9. All it shows is "Sorry, no data available for that section".

10. These are the only two apps on my phone that are doing this.

11. Keeps telling me my password is wrong.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix The Standard-Times Issues

  1. Restart The Standard-Times: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the The Standard-Times App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "The Standard-Times" » Open The Standard-Times » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for The Standard-Times » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear The Standard-Times app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from The Standard-Times servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "The Standard-Times" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check The Standard-Times app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, The Standard-Times might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall The Standard-Times. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall The Standard-Times then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing The Standard-Times not working


2. Fix The Standard-Times Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make The Standard-Times be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to The Standard-Times not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, The Standard-Times may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
