1. On modern phones it is impossible to use the app properly, by swiping on the left edge it opens the overview of the feeds, but this action is overvritten by the android go back gesture.Well, though there are folders, still all the feeds are listed under folders as a single plain list of articles.
2. The subscription model will be a barrier to many but for me, it's absolutely worth it as there's nothing else even close to this good!I was looking for an RSS Reader that supports FreshRSS, but was hesitant to use an app that had a subscription model.
3. I have been using this for a couple years now, and apart from some article list swipe gesture unreliability, everything this app does seems to work just fine.
4. (I) The description still says: "FocusReader is an ad-free, modern RSS reader..." but it's not ad-free, unless you go for a paid subscription.
5. The developer is super good, but I reported an issue and within days he found the issue and solve it and a new version containing the bug fix was shipped.
6. I don't know why this kind of tools are so rare to be good in Android, but I'm honestly super happy that I found this one.
7. Still lacks a widget, notifications of updates, and most advanced features, and while I'm not at all a fan of the subscription approach to unlocking features, that's the dev's choice.
8. Only downsides are 1) when refreshing you can't click into any feeds or groups very easily 2) Adding a feed to a folder invokes a refresh which then leads to problem 1.
9. May need to fuss with battery optimization to get it to sync in background, depending on device, but that's an Android issue.Excellent app, and best of its kind.
10. If you could look at this functionality that would be great 👍And another RSS reader where i can't filter out articles by keyword without a subscription.
11. Been using for a few days now and overall it's been a good experience and I have gone premium.
