Reddit Customer Insights

1. Since I can't read the small font and don't want to waste time trying to figure the rest of the app out, I'm just going to uninstall and close my reddit account.Tried it with a gun to my head.

2. Nope.Terrible. Much better third-party apps died for THIS? There's barely any customization options, barely any view modes, it can be laggy, there's no indication if photo submissions are just one pic or more, there's link text that take up almost half of the thumbnails, etc.

3. The text is tiny and hard to read and leaves a lot of empty space on the screen. The interface is atrocious.

4. Somehow there's simultaneously way too many settings that need to be disabled (a million individual toggles for ads and junk emails/texts/notifications), and way too few settings for customizing/improving the user experience.App is hard to use.

5. Cluttered interface, feels difficult to find the things I want.

6. The video player and user interface for it are both just pure evil. Its ok, and does what it says, but is very bloated and slow.

7. The layout is difficult to navigate and you can't change things as simple as font size (which was easily changed in the RIF app).

8. For starters there is a delay when trying to scroll or when you click on post to go into the comments.

9. It's difficult to scroll through and clearly understand which content is something I've subscribed to and am interested in seeing, and which is garbage.

10. If there is a post with multiple pictures, the app becomes very slow trying to swipe through them.

11. Even tapping on the vote buttons is hit or miss.Coming off of Reddit is Fun and I figured it wouldn't be that bad, I'll just switch to the Reddit App.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Reddit Issues

1. Fix Reddit Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

  1. Restart Reddit: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Reddit App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Reddit" » Open Reddit » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Reddit » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Reddit app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Reddit servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Reddit" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Reddit app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Reddit might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Reddit. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Reddit then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Reddit not working

2. Fix Reddit Server issues & Internet Connection

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Reddit be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Reddit not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Reddit may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • omg the worst app ever

  • reddit is an inappropriate, bad child-praying, swear-loving, out of line app. children don’t know how many times the people on the app have prayed on children endangerment. they made me like their comments because it showed that they were agreeing with me on my opinion of lexia and reflex. i was on reddit today looking at corn memes on the cornbadwheatgood club. then i tried to hide i was on reddit when mom walked in. she looked at the comments on my rant post. after she saw a user named u/rossatron tell me that i was too young to be on reddit, she told me that what she says to me would be my first and last warning. she told me that what i was doing was unsafe and inappropriate and then she told me to get rid of reddit and to NEVER get back on it. what she says is right. i should stop my bad habbit of getting on cussing sites. even when i don’t know what’s going on. for now i’m just sticking to tiktok. nobody ever comments on my videos and no news is good news. as long as i stop replying to unknown peoples texts and comments and block them when they reply or comment on mine. tell your children to not be such a moron like i was and to NEVER EVER get on sites like the 2 i talked about in this review.
