1. The format might have needed changing but this is definitely a change for the worse.!Poor,poor,poor. Latest version is based on the script of " How to ruin a perfectly good app" The latest update does not work on my phone that uses Android 10…Does not work at all😠💩.

2. Also if you don't do the puzzle that day, it's overwritten by the latest edition! Going to give up and get another app, been doing the puzzles for over 20 years, not anymore.Unlike most newspaper app once you download an edition, it's not possible to delete it easily.

3. I changed text size and turned off auto download which makes it fasterI am unable to access this app on my Android phone because a dialogue box comes up at the beginning entitled 'How we use your data'.

4. Worked like a dream.....UNTIL NOW! Now it 'Downloads' the puzzles only for you to access the puzzle online.

5. When I try to get into latest edition of the games and puzzles, it just shunts me straight into the previous days edition.

6. This time I'll uninstall and get my news elsewhere.I have to agree that this so called upgrade has ruined a perfectly good and easy to use app.

7. In order to read quicker you need to pinch the screen back to original size and then scroll to next page.

8. Downloaded app on android 8, then tested 2 offline downloads which i read perfectly.

9. All downloads work offline with original paper which i much prefer to snippets.

10. The headlines from the paper expand into a properly sized read for smartphones too, which is really nice.

11. I am about to delete and reinstall the app to see if this resolves the issue but if it doesn't, it's goodbye ES.Let's break a perfectly good app.

3. Clear The London Standard app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from The London Standard servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "The London Standard" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check The London Standard app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, The London Standard might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall The London Standard. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall The London Standard then reinstall.
