What users are saying

1. Dark mode please.Content is good and it's fairly easy to use, but there's no way to give feedback inside the app that I can see, to open newsletters you have to open a web browser rather than being able to see it in the app itself, and there's no way to remove ads even when you're a subscriber.

2. No sign-in option to get rid of cheap ads for subscribers, no meaningful feed for top stories across categories (save the limited "front page" section, which I believe is curated, not informed by user data).... This is just amateur.

3. If these were all changed I'd give it 5 starsThere is a lot of functionally missing in this app including a search function, an "open with app" option for browsers, account management, and e-paper requires a separate app.

4. When I go back to the app to find the article manually, there's no search option, so anything that wasn't published in the last 24 hours is practically inaccessible, unless you scroll for hours.

5. I'd prefer a mode more akin to a traditional news feed with articles listed in editorial order.

6. It can't seem to hold a connection for much over 30 seconds after calling up another app(Android is supposed to allow multitasking) - it goes out to lunch! .... Downgraded from two stars to one.

7. Using the app Using a browser to view this content defeats purpose of having the app. This is pitiful for a successful newspaper.

8. I guess Chicago really is a 1 paper town. This review would be five stars if it were only about the features.

9. Searched EXACT article title on website, got 145819 incorrect results.

10. The desktop version is way more useful. This app doesn't work 90% of the time (android Samsung phone).

11. I've been a long-time NYTimes subscriber, and recently subscribed to both Sun Times and the Chicago Tribune.
