Device Magic Customer Insights

1. Also when it crashes wipes all previous info making it difficult for field updates and dispatches.If i could give this app a zero score for use on android devices i would...my company recently forced employees to download and use this "app" and it has been a data nightmare since, from lost data, corrut data and just general not stop "updates" and general non user friendly endless drop down tabs, not to mention eating any spare memory on your phone (especially for android users, my phone is 3 months old and the app has overwritten almost 40 gb if files and no way to delete said files).Great app! Very user friendly, both to fill out forms and design them, the ability to set diferent destinations for form submissions has been very helpfull.

2. When it messes up and gives you the option to give feedback, that freezes too! Most of the people in my company have IPhones and have no issues but for my sake, I hope Device Magic fires whoever is in charge of Android app testing and hires someone who knows what they are doing!Not very stable, have lost hours worth of work from the app crashing for no apparent reason.App never syncs with server, always delays my submittal of job data, takes 30 minutes a day away from my life extra.

3. Uneven data entry options, i.e. use check or just click back button, very confusing as it varies wildly which is needed, Choose One Please and Use That One Entry Standard.... DO NOT RECOMEND USE FOR ANY REASON....SADLY COMPANY DECIDED THIS WAS NECESSARY... Gps pickup super slow, dispatched reports dont come through to user tablet.... Just awful.

App changes data on firms after submission Doesn't seem to update well either and freezes frequently Also VERY slow on uploading data to our office system If I had an option with my job I would stop using it Unfortunately that is a corporate decision that I can only continue to lodge complaints with IT aboutLoses data often.

5. Would give ZERO STARS IF POSSIBLE... As to your reply, sent this from phone, dm is on new tabletCrashes constantly, takes up a tremendous amount of data and space even with constant cleaning, does not update correctly.

7. This app is HORRIBLE on Android!!! It works great on Apple but for whatever reason, it is a constant battle to get it to work on Android.

9. The ability to drag, and drop a variety of field types vastly simplifies the process of form creation.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Device Magic Issues

1. Fix Device Magic Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Device Magic: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Device Magic App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Device Magic" » Open Device Magic: Get Mobile Forms » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Device Magic » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Device Magic: Get Mobile Forms app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Device Magic servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Device Magic: Get Mobile Forms" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Device Magic app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Device Magic might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Device Magic. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Device Magic then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Device Magic not working


2. Fix Device Magic Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Device Magic be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Device Magic not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Device Magic may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
