1. I ended up getting an uber.Disgusting experience, couldn't get a confirmation for a cab despite booking a day in advance and the cab just didn't show up! Ended up having to get a favour to get to our destination for a birthday party.Booked a taxi 2 days in advance to the airport for them not to turn up.
2. I've tried deleting and reinstall and on another device. Not impressed, verification code doesn't allow pasting and then when I got to the setup your profile page, it was erroring out over the verification code even though there was no option to put in the verification code or go back to regenerate.
3. Literally tried to use the 'traditional' option and it sucked so bad I just went back to Uber.Very slow app, can't see driver approaching, and taxis rarely come, even if you call and check on the booking.
4. Still waiting on a reply or refund from their helpdesk days later. Will not let me add digital pass, it keeps defaulting to google play and when I open app, no option to add pass appears.
5. I booked a taxi for 6:00am this morning it's now 6:46am and I've missed a train that I had to be on for an important trip.
6. But after trying to schedule a taxi to the airport it stayed stuck on "looking for a driver" overnight.
7. As a followup, I booked a cab but couldn't select a fixed price.
8. Tried manually typing and putting a nearby address in and moving the pin but it wouldn't proceed to the next step.
9. Presented the card as required, only to find 13Cabs had charged my bank the full amount.
10. The reasons they dont pick you up, it's because the drivers don't like it when customers book on the app because it goes through the company 13Cabs.
11. They told me, as I am a TSS member, not to select a fixed price, which I hadn't (didn't know there was such an option).
Cancelled my account
I used 13cabs app for the first time today 25/11/21 and it was a huge mistake.
I decided to try booking with the app to take my elderly, mentally/physically disabled mother to her dr appointment.
She is currently in a wheelchair and had recently acquired a severe facial injury from a fall fracturing and puncturing her eye. She was in pain and clearly agitated.
I am her full time carer, so in order to use the app I had to enter my card details and couldn't find an option to use my mothers 13cabs vouchers that she receives regularly through "life without barriers" services. I made sure to at least leave a message to the driver that I would be using vouchers for payment.
Everything went fine at first. Our driver asked me who had made the booking and i let him know at the start that i did and we would be using my mothers vouchers which i showed him. He asked me if my mother had the other kind with photo id (which she doesn't). Everything from there seemed fine, he didn't say anything more to me (no talking was great as my mother was crying and I wanted to keep her as calm as possible) then we reached our destination.
We had taken a taxi to the appointment earlier and had no trouble with our driver who was extremely helpful, however Tai from T55305 didn't seem to recognise my mothers vouchers and/or was not willing to check their expiry dates (they are all valid) She has successfully used these vouchers many times in the past. He handed them back to me and told me to look to see if the dates were valid and instead of allowing me to do so he quickly (without my permission) charged the fair to my personal bank card details that I had provided to the 13cabs app.
When I questioned him about it, he proceeded to tell me that the "technology" automatically takes payment upon arrival and I should have phoned the cab instead of using the app if I was using these vouchers.
If this is true, there is no way I would have known this.
I was not impressed with his conflict resolution skills to say the least. He kept telling me next time I should call instead of using the app (there may not be a next time at this point).
I am not someone who is impolite and I have worked many years in customer service and I know what should be expected.
I decided to remain calm and take it up with the app provider instead as I understood that perhaps he was right and even if he wasn't, he was not going to help me.
It was raining heavily outside and my mother had been given instructions, by her surgeon, not to get her face wet due to her injuries. I asked if he could reverse into her small driveway so I could easily wheel her inside (her driveway has a bumpy gutter which makes it difficult to lift her in her wheelchair). Other taxi drivers have done so in the past no hassles. He said no and I was ok with that as I understand there may be rules etc.
As an alternative I asked if he could keep her undercover whilst I grabbed the umbrella at her front door.
He proceeded to put his ramp down and by the time I returned with the umbrella, he had deliberately wheeled my mother out into the pouring rain.
I was shocked and struggling to keep my mother calm as I was opening the umbrella.
My mother may have been aggrevated and may have been verbally abusive towards Tai when I was not present, however she is literally mentally incapable of her behaviour, and he put her (not to mention myself) in direct danger.
The fare itself was not much, however his unprofessionalism an inability to be a little patient and remain calm in the literal storm, needs to be addressed as he should definitely not be driving a wheelchair accessible vehicle if he can't at least be a friendly and somewhat ESPECIALLY kind.
I need suitable excuses or reasons for this and an adequate resolution to this matter please.
