Amazon Drive Customer Insights

1. I'm at a loss.I mainly use it to view photos stored o amazon cloud drive, and its viewer is rather bad, especially its gray background instead of black, and the fact it doesn't switch to full screen when vieweing a photo.

2. I do upload pictures and videos to my storage (which are not automatically imported by Amazon Photos...). Browsing through a huge list of photos is super laying lagging and slow.

3. That restriction even exists on the PC Amazon Drive website, and not just mobile app.It does allow you to upload files, create folders and that is it.

4. I switched from Google Drive because I was constantly having issues with my photos taking forever to upload or not uploading at all.

5. Keep on developing this more often.The perfect utility for "belt and suspenders" users like me who worship the trinity of physical storage, cloud storage and more cloud storage.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Amazon Drive Issues

1. Fix Amazon Drive Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Amazon Drive: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Amazon Drive App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Amazon Drive" » Open Amazon Drive » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Amazon Drive » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Amazon Drive app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Amazon Drive servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Amazon Drive" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Amazon Drive app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Amazon Drive might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Amazon Drive. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Amazon Drive then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Amazon Drive not working


2. Fix Amazon Drive Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Amazon Drive be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Amazon Drive not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Amazon Drive may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
