1. Beyond frustrated.!!!!This APP used to work great, but for the past several weeks now on my Samsung Galaxy phone, I keep getting the "retry" error message and the preview of the video does not show... just gives me the animating 3 dots.

2. I'm so disappointed in Amazon, they are swimming in money at least fix the apps and systems!Live view won't load on phone for last couple months.

3. It does seem to work fine on the Amazon Fire tablet and the Cloud cam website.I can't get the live feed to work.

4. It worked fine for a while, but the past week or so at best shows a static image (the sound still works though) but usually just hangs and doesn't load.

5. Doesn't turn on when I leave and then can't get it to shut off the rest of the time.

6. Next camera for me will be IFTTT enabled.UPDATE: 7 months later, and the app still doesn't work.

7. The app for that seems more reliable and much better user interface.AMAZON PLEASE FIX THIS APP!! More often than not, the app sits thinking and try to get caught up to the current timeframe.

8. You have to scroll through days and days off videos of you want to find something that happened 4 days ago.

9. Now the app keeps crashing preventing me from shutting the cameras off if I come home early I have to wait for the schedule to shut it off.

10. App also doesn't refresh newly saved video clips like it used to.

11. It is a mess and that is why my 6 cameras will go to the 🗑️It would be nice if this would integrate with Guard so I could turn everything on with one command.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Amazon Cloud Cam Issues

1. Fix Amazon Cloud Cam Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Amazon Cloud Cam: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Amazon Cloud Cam App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Amazon Cloud Cam" » Open Amazon Cloud Cam » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Amazon Cloud Cam » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Amazon Cloud Cam app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Amazon Cloud Cam servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Amazon Cloud Cam" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Amazon Cloud Cam app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Amazon Cloud Cam might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Amazon Cloud Cam. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Amazon Cloud Cam then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Amazon Cloud Cam not working


2. Fix Amazon Cloud Cam Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Amazon Cloud Cam be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Amazon Cloud Cam not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Amazon Cloud Cam may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
