1. Can you add email functionality, so that it will be able to send a snapshot(pictures), for those of us with no secondary devices that are capable of sms.Impossible to set up camera sensitivity for motion detection on my device (Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018)).

The decibel number is somewhat obvious, but even then as an example of needless complexity...in a quiet room with an "average" decibel reading, according to the app, of about 30 (A or C weighting unknown), the adjustment numbers rapidly change from about 40 to over 90 without explaining why and how it relates to sensitivity.

3. All I wanted (and expected from the public hype on this app) is an app that can repurpose my old smartphone into a "security camera" that can send a live feed OVER WIFI to either another WiFi connected smartphone or PC.

4. I wouldn't mind paying for the app if it was a quality product.Video sensitivity needs to be reworked, impossible to use the awkward sliders to get a good value, it's either 0% or 100% detection.Don't use this app.

5. Also, the initial "configuration" protocol guides you through MANDATORY setups for movement, vibration, and sound, each of which display arbitrary "sensitivity" numbers at you expecting you to know what they mean.as you adjust them.

6. If I set it to 1065, it detects nothing even if I completely cover and then uncover the camera with my hand.read about this, but it did not work, could not get anything to work, just a out of focus, badly colored mess of a video.

7. I did not expect the "old" phone to require an active phone company account to become a "security camera".

8. Instead, Haven appears to require your repurposed phone STILL have an active phone account, and only sends data/images via messaging services.

9. Instead, learn to use encryption on digital communications, and immediately stop carying around surveillance tech (smart devices) if you are a real investigative journalist.

10. No continuous live video feed over WiFi is possible...unless I missed it.

11. Uninstalled as not fit for purpose.Installed on a secondary device, a $30 Android phone.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Haven Issues

1. Fix Haven Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Haven: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Haven App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Haven" » Open Haven: Keep Watch » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Haven » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Haven: Keep Watch app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Haven servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Haven: Keep Watch" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Haven app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Haven might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Haven. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Haven then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Haven not working


2. Fix Haven Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Haven be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Haven not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Haven may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
