1. The app is open source, with no advertising. - Support for . kdb and . kdbx files (version 1 to 4) with AES - Twofish - ChaCha20 - Argon2 algorithm. - Compatible with the majority of alternative programs (KeePass, KeePassXC, KeeWeb, …). - Allows opening and copying URI / URL fields quickly. - Biometric recognition for fast unlocking (fingerprint / face unlock / …). - One-time password management (HOTP / TOTP) for two-factor authentication (2FA). - Code written in native languages (Kotlin / Java / JNI / C).
2. KeePassDX is a password safe and manager allows editing encrypted data in a single file in the open KeePass format and fill in the forms in a secure way, requires no Internet connection and integrates Android design standards.
3. The project is constantly evolving.
1. If you have a need to manage passwords across many devices and be able to go offline, use KeePass2Android instead.Unfortunately, this app does not allow biometric unlock on Android, so the passphrase has to be entered every few minutes.
2. Best of luck. After many years & long trials using the different droid keepass apps out there, I found KeePassDX to best & what ive stuck with for years.
3. However, stopped using due to the app not saving the database even though it acted like it is and lost a bunch of time resetting all the passwords that I thought were saved.
4. Thank you for creating KeePassDX.Intermittently forgets last database/key file locations and also biometric data, even though these settings are enabled.
5. REALLY can't complain. For whatever reason, KeePass has been the manager of choice for the past strata of time, and it is very exciting to have a port on Android.
6. Couldn't force KeePassDX to clear local cache and reload changes made on other devices.
7. I don't want another entity having any access to my vault and with this app I need not worry. If you're used to KeePass, you won't be disappointed or have to learn much anew.
8. I'd give it 5 stars if it didn't have such a big trouble syncing passwords with other devices.
9. I use Firefox and the autofill works most of the time for the password field, but rarely works for the username field.
10. I wish the autofill func was a little smoother and initiated in all cases but not the apps fault & I've had less luck with other apps.
11. I was trying to make it way more complicated than it was.Password managers are the best way to handle large sets of passwords, and KeePass is one of the best in the world.
