1. The alternative benefit is that I can track my route to specific diodiversity hotspots and share the info with other field operatives.Great open map!Does what it promises, but the maps are not vectorized, but uses a vectorized map below the low quality raster map, making double marking that's really annoying.
2. And please show current gps co-ords at top of screen! These are very simple to code! This is a VERY USEFUL app and does exactly what it promises! I use it firstly to compare the elevation of various localities where rare dragonflies are found in our country (in order to identify areas with similar topography and possibly locate same species).
3. I was also wondering if it is possible to just mark a point exactly at your current location instead of manually pressing at the location to add a marker.Good app but lacking a few key features that would make it the best offline navigation software.
4. Great app, I've used it for the last 4 years (after getting lost during a hike :) ), perfect to load a track, follow it, very accurate and details map, good GPS integration => It became my reference app for any hike.
5. Also, because the maps are not vectorized, the raster names in mainland Japan are so clustered they actually start to obscure the topographic map under a solid mass of low resolution kanji.
6. Please add!Amazing! Totally light, hassle-free and a minimalistic option if you only want to use just a small/specific part of the topo map offline (unique snapshot feature).
7. Pair that with the "snapshot" feature to download maps for offline use, and you have an excellent navigation method.
8. Thanks!Great to have an easy way to access open source topographic maps with trails.
9. Haven't checked other places, but densely populated areas all must have the same problem.20230609-Fr.1757, 😎 Up'd.
10. Also, add a dedicated home button for your current gps position, at the moment you have to press on location button twice - once to turn off then again to turn back on.
11. Your phone GPS works without a cell signal since it only needs to triangulate using satellite signals.
