Eight Customer Insights

1. Also does not detect and save dept/roleThere are better and faster app like Linkcards - digital business cards which scans the business cards and instantly give you digital card in the app.

2. Any efforts to login was a failure!One who don't have business card , can't be registered..... I'm uninstalling the app just because of this reason.... I'm having no business card..... but many others to scan👎👎👎Nice App.

3. Please fix ASAP.Using this since a month now and happy with available options in free App! Lots more features can be added like searching for duplicates which is a common error while saving cards through App.

4. Also, own business card verification process is not clear at all.

5. Been more than 24 hours but card verification not done so can't even access all the features.

6. It says it takes one hour for digitalisation.I have been waiting for three days to get 3 cards digitalised.

7. How can I also save details in my contact list to call directly from contacts instead of opening the app.App keeps crashing on my Samsung Galaxy Note 9.

9. I've used another App which I feel was better and hence there's lot of room for improvement for Eight!I do not understand the point of membership if it going to take even longer than being an unpaid user.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Eight Issues

1. Fix Eight Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Eight: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Eight App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Eight" » Open Eight » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Eight » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Eight app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Eight servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Eight" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Eight app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Eight might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Eight. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Eight then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Eight not working


2. Fix Eight Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Eight be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Eight not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Eight may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
