SantanderSign Customer Insights

1. If you cannot use the verification code send by sms (i am abroad), it SAYS you can use the i-TAN instead, but in fact you can't!The installation is a mess! Allegedly it is being installed on my mobile phone but it is not, what a disastrous method of aleged improvement, did that look at Boing's 737MAX???? In German it is verschlimmbessern, meaning you want to improve something but actually it is worse than before.

2. Actually getting it set up is a nightmare, as it needs camera access that doesn't work and completely fails if Firefox is your default mobile browser.

3. Once set up it refuses to sign anything and says "the transaction has expired and can not be signed" this means I can't use either mobile or online banking.

4. It has a 5 minute timer and I often have to reload my banking page and fill out the same information multiple times for a simple transaction that turns what should be a 1 minute process into a 10 minute + saga.

5. Tha app is installed, needs verification and with every sms sent it wants me to install it, which does not work.

6. Click the notification and you should be able to authorize log ins and transactionsTerrible! I was told to install it to use credit card in future.

7. Half the time it doesn't work, I am there seeing the transaction but when I press it to confirm nothing happens.

8. I have tried force stopping the app and starting it again to no avail, I do not recommend 😐Tried to install on a new device, the app is stuck in a loop.

9. You try to start the registration process and the link it sends navigates you to the play store, asking you to download the app, and then the whole process begins again.

10. This has been going on for half a year now... Due to this i will search for another credit card with a functioning app.Doesn't work at all.

11. When sign is needed it shows in the app but it does not open the authorization Dialog when clicking on it.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix SantanderSign Issues

1. Fix SantanderSign Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart SantanderSign: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the SantanderSign App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "SantanderSign" » Open SantanderSign » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for SantanderSign » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear SantanderSign app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from SantanderSign servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "SantanderSign" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check SantanderSign app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, SantanderSign might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall SantanderSign. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall SantanderSign then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing SantanderSign not working


2. Fix SantanderSign Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make SantanderSign be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to SantanderSign not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, SantanderSign may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
