M1 Touch Cloud Customer Insights

1. Very easy to use and set up, surprisingly responsive, almost immediate communication to the panel, and tech support is awesome! No need to play with router settings or IP addresses, just setup in software and go! Two recommendations for future updates: 1.) Ability to hide specific zones or outputs.

2. Have tried, for over 1 hour define how to log into my account.I originally gave this app three stars (couldn't see all the lights) however, support was quick to respond and resolved my issue so I'm now giving them five stars.Works well with my Elk M1 gold systems.

3. When I had an issue with remote connection, the tech support response was extremely fast.I found a small issue and the developer worked hard and quickly and resolved it with great communication.

4. The notification options alone are worth the subscription and you won't be like the hundreds of customers I service in Chicagoland that call me when they are out of town for holidays and their eK app won't connect because Xfinity wiped the port forwarding in their gateway.Complicated to set up.

5. 2.) Add history for push notifications.This is the Application Elk Products needed to launch as soon as M1 Cloud became an option.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix M1 Touch Cloud Issues

1. Fix M1 Touch Cloud Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart M1 Touch Cloud: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the M1 Touch Cloud App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "M1 Touch Cloud" » Open M1 Touch Cloud » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for M1 Touch Cloud » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear M1 Touch Cloud app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from M1 Touch Cloud servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "M1 Touch Cloud" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check M1 Touch Cloud app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, M1 Touch Cloud might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall M1 Touch Cloud. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall M1 Touch Cloud then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing M1 Touch Cloud not working


2. Fix M1 Touch Cloud Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make M1 Touch Cloud be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to M1 Touch Cloud not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, M1 Touch Cloud may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
