CloudEdge Customer Insights

1. The Notification options in Android App settings are all named same.Been using this camera + App for years and haven't had any issues with either (except the Speaker/Microphone on the camera stopped working recently and I am not sure why, but as long as the camera still works then that's all that really matters)! The App is easy to install & use, functionality is pretty straightforward + easy to use.Delayed notifications, difficulty viewings images.

2. Every time I open "messages" to check my alerts it will crash after clicking on a recording and going back (without the video playing).

3. The model i didn't update works perfectly.I don't like the update...one reason is...you took away zoom in the picture capture.

4. Two of my cameras died completely before I realized they weren't recording any more.App used to work great but lately (possibly after the last update) it crashes a lot.

5. It's unclear that clicking on the image plays the Cloud video, clicking on the play button plays the local SD card copy.

6. There's nothing logical about not being able to zoom in while watching a video.

7. Hope that is corrected, cause that really sucks! 2nd...Being able to swipe to the next video.

8. I don't see any response about the issues people are having with this new update either.

9. Record always, beep me only during schedule.Something has happened with the most recent update.

10. I cleared the cache but that didn't work and when it crashes it says "CloudEdge closed because this app has a bug".

11. Everything that made this work went away after update.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix CloudEdge Issues

1. Fix CloudEdge Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart CloudEdge: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the CloudEdge App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "CloudEdge" » Open CloudEdge » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for CloudEdge » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear CloudEdge app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from CloudEdge servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "CloudEdge" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check CloudEdge app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, CloudEdge might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall CloudEdge. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall CloudEdge then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing CloudEdge not working


2. Fix CloudEdge Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make CloudEdge be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to CloudEdge not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, CloudEdge may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • Delayed notifications. Usually I receive notifications on my iPhone after a long period of time after the event. For example a delivery person can get out of their truck walk to my front door, drop a package and then get back in the truck before I receive a notification.

  • I don't know my account name or number, so I can't start the installation of my doorbell video device. I don't know how to find my account number, so please delete my account and I'll open a new one.
    I've tried deleting the app and re-installing it as well as resetting the doorbell, but nothing seems to work to reset my account.

  • My camera in a vacation home alerted me that the battery was low and then went dead before I could get to it and charge it. I went to the cabin and returned to my home and charger the camera for 24 hours. Today I powered it up, reset it to my home WiFi. It will not work when the power cord is disconnected, but will detect and show motion when the USB is plugged in. Is my battery dead?

At the end of my instalation i always receive a message from the CloudEdge app the CONNECTION LOST. Will you please help me to set up my correctly my IP Camera? (I had it instoled on my phone last year and it workd!) So I had an account for my IP Camera but i dont remeber it. But i reset the device and log in with anther new account, and still can not have the connection with my IP Camera. Will you please help me? Thanks!
