1. Too much trouble! Was hoping this would be low impact alternative to the now bloated es file explorer but this was unable to resolve smb device name and when given the static ip number the app promptly crashed when attempting to initially load the shared public folder.
2. If you upgrade that control it would be 5 stars.Used to be great, but at some point it stopped working, and now when trying to connect to SMB shares it gives permission denied errors even though on all other devices the SMB shares work fine with the same creds.
3. Phone is Samsung SM-J727V, Android 8.1.0.I've been using this app for some years on various Android phones and found it does exactly what I want it to do other than directly open files (they always download).
4. Guess there is no point keeping it as there seems to have been no dev activity this year to resolve these bugs. After Android update J727VVRS2BRK1 on Nov 20, 2018 this app crashes when accessing folders on the SD card.
5. I'm guessing there's something about SMB version 2 or 3 that the app isn't properly handling, because my shares work fine on linux/windows with multiple other applications.Works ok so far.
6. I'm now also use it on my Chromebook because that machine's native SMB support won't connect to one of my shares for some reason.Almost 8 years after the first release, and the app does what I expect it to and you even care to fix bugs.
7. I thought 'Browse and transfer intents are available for third party applications.' would mean some share access in 3rd party apps but that doesn't seem to be the case.
8. Finally I found a fricking app that connects to my Windows desktop which I have a share setup to my MP3 folder, so I can copy albums to my phone so I can listen in the car.
9. Good simple app but I think the file explore (folders) screen isn't very good (like have it remember your scroll position when you go into a folder and then come out again).
10. ES File Explorer needs a premium version and CX File Explorer didn't work at all.
11. One of my servers has 5 shares but can't make a unique name so they can't all be added to the browse list.
