Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Phonto Issues
1. Fix Phonto Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:
- Restart Phonto: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
- Update the Phonto App. Here is how:
- On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Phonto" » Open Phonto - Text on Photos » click "Update".
- On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Phonto » click "UPDATE".
- Clear Phonto - Text on Photos app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Phonto servers.
- On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Phonto - Text on Photos" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
- Check Phonto app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Phonto might not work.
- Uninstall and reinstall Phonto. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Phonto then reinstall.
- Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Phonto not working
2. Fix Phonto Server issues & Internet Connection
- Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Phonto be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
- Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Phonto not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
- Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Phonto may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

An issue that I have with this app that a month ago, when I save images/pngs I made it shows the following: "Failed to save image: Attempt to invoke virtual method 'boolean android.graphics.Bitmap.com press(android.graphics.Bitmap$Comp ressFormat, int, java.io.OutputStream)' on a null object reference"

I have been trying to reach Phonto but did not get a response. I purchased the Phonto ad free app and the filter feature for my ipad. Unfortunately once I purchased the ad free version the filters are no longer available. I really like this app and loved the filters that’s why I purchased it. But I would like to know how to get the filters back up and running. I have gone in and try to restore my purchases but that did not work please let me know To get this app to work properly. Additionally I would like to know if I need to download it a second time on my phone if I want to be able to use it from my phone as well.
