ALAT Customer Insights

1. Edit; I'd just like to point out that's it's been 2 months and it's still not been resolved.This app is so bad and frustrating compared to any other mobile wallet the transaction is very slow, sometimes it takes a very long period of time to receive your cash, you make a transaction they'll give you an error message and still debit you and that might be the end my 12,000 has been handing for a long time now and there customer service will never respond I give you 0 star if possible the app sucks I'm quite sure the good reviews about them is fake why will my deposit be split into twoThis app is frustrating me.My alat account was inactive and I made some payment to activate it.

2. This is frustrating.It's been over a week since I logged an error for a failed transaction via email and I still haven't gotten a reply acknowledging the issue, neither has it been rectified.

3. I also just transferred from my other bank account to test how quickly alerts are received and it's a shame that 24 hours later, there's been no notification yet.

4. It's been over 3 weeks and I've not been able to set up my ALAT account, too poor I must say.

5. Consequently, I increased my wallet without knowing it was a mistake to do so my account has been on restriction since that day.

6. For over two weeks now I've been trying to register on the app but I keep getting error messages and the app crashes sometimes.

7. I would love to see a patnership between Alat and Payoneer and also a reduction in transaction fees will go a long way in making this service much success.Worst financial app.

8. I understand that everyone is entitled to their opinion about their experience with this app but to be candid Alat by wema has made my banking experience smooth and easy.

9. But ever since I joined, without fail, only that service has been under maintenance.

10. I opened an account, then made two or three transactions and discover it was a fine system.

11. And up till this minute,the app keeps saying no inactive account seen but I am 80% done in reactivaying my account.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix ALAT Issues

1. Fix ALAT Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart ALAT: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the ALAT App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "ALAT" » Open ALAT » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for ALAT » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear ALAT app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from ALAT servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "ALAT" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check ALAT app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, ALAT might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall ALAT. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall ALAT then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing ALAT not working


2. Fix ALAT Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make ALAT be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to ALAT not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, ALAT may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
