About Anchor Watch Pro / Alarm

1. Anchor watch PRO is a position logger, remote instant message or email alarm and sound alarm and it monitors the device's current location and informs you if the location of the device changes too far away from the set anchor.

2. It should not be relied on to and we shall not be responsible for any problem/expense/life threatening situation it could cause.   ♦  If the application keeps loosing GPS signal when screen is turned off, try disabling battery optimizations of the specific phone.

3. Please know that the performance and accuracy of the Anchor watch application depends on the hardware and software of the used device.

4. We suggest you charge your device while using the app, although it's not necessary and the impact on battery life strongly depends on the specific device!

5. Some device types have problems with some parts of the application, such as not providing proper GPS provider.

6. In that case, it will sound an alarm and optionally send an message to another phone via instant messaging or email.

7. If that doesn't help, try enabling the option in application settings to keep screen on.

8. If GPS doesn't work, please bear in mind that it might be a hardware issue, as some devices have trouble getting a good GPS fix!

9. This application can be used on boats, sailboats, motorboats and any other objects that move freely.

10. Because this application uses GPS to monitor movement, it will consume battery a bit faster than normally.

Anchor Watch Pro / Alarm Customer Insights

1. My approach to using the app is pretty straightforward in that every time I drop the anchor I'll 'set the Anchor Watch Pro either by using the "current location" at the moment I lower the anchor, or the 'advanced' location feature if I've already paid out my rode.

2. I paid for the pro version and it has been worth it for the ability to see the anchor history on a plotline map also the ability to have alarm sent to other phone whilst onshore....obviously one needs signal to use this.

3. 80% solution and if feel comfortable relying on it while asleep but could be more intuitive with user interface and have the ability to save boat tracking from each anchor position.

4. We spend a lot of time at anchor and this program has saved our boat from certain disaster at least twice.

5. We are using it all the time when anchoring, allows us to sleep soundly, does not produce too many false alarms and has saved our boat a couple times in the past year.

6. I always forget to set the anchor position in time.

7. Would be nice to be able to enter the bearing and distance from current position to set the anchor position.

8. I've had many occasions in which this little 'feature' of the app has saved me a lot of potential grief because it quickly showed that my anchor was moving.

9. It gives us confidence in the intergrity of our anchor set and current position.

10. Currently cruising in the Bahamas and spending a lot of time at anchor.

11. It has saved our bacon one night when we had an unexpected blow make us drag anchor.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Anchor Watch Pro / Alarm Issues

1. Fix Anchor Watch Pro / Alarm Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Anchor Watch Pro / Alarm: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Anchor Watch Pro / Alarm App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Anchor Watch Pro / Alarm" » Open Anchor Watch Pro / Alarm » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Anchor Watch Pro / Alarm » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Anchor Watch Pro / Alarm app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Anchor Watch Pro / Alarm servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Anchor Watch Pro / Alarm" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Anchor Watch Pro / Alarm app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Anchor Watch Pro / Alarm might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Anchor Watch Pro / Alarm. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Anchor Watch Pro / Alarm then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Anchor Watch Pro / Alarm not working
